Webalias and upgrade redirect settings

Webalias and upgrade redirect settings

Purpose:

This document will guide you through configuring your Webalias URLs and setting up redirects for customers looking to upgrade a previous purchase.

Pre Requisites

  • A funnel that uses Exigo is already set up.

  • An Exigo gateway is already set up.

  • The Exigo integration is already set up.

Webalias

By default, all your domains come equipped with a webalias redirect feature within the same domain. For instance, if you were to visit "https://reserveyourspotnow.com/webalias ," it would automatically redirect to the base domain, "https://reserveyourspotnow.com/ ," while also appending specific additional parameters based on the provided webalias.

However, in cases where you require a redirect to a route different from the base domain, you can configure this in your settings. For example, if you wish to redirect "https://reserveyourspotnow.com/webalias " to "https://reserveyourspotnow.com/someespecialfunnel/somepage" this can be achieved through the configuration settings.

  1. Go to Settings > General.

  2. Scroll down to the Redirect repsites section.

  3. Add a new record, put the domain in the first field and the URL it will use in the second, and click the plus button.

  4. In the table, you will see all the records added, if you need to delete a record, use this button.

  5. Editing a domain isn't currently available as an option, but you can choose one of these two methods:

    1. Delete and Re-add: You can delete the existing record and then add it again with your desired changes.

    2. Add the Record Again: If the record already exists, adding it again will prompt the system to update it with your modifications automatically.

Upgrade redirects

Once you've configured upgradable products, you can offer upgrades even after an order has been closed within Thiio. To make this possible, you'll need to include the checkout page designed for upgrades in a settings table, and the order should still be marked as open within Exigo. Additionally, it's crucial to note that within Exigo, orders are considered closed if they have passed through the following Friday.

For example, if customers purchase on a Wednesday, their window for upgrades extends until the following Friday at midnight, granting them approximately two additional days. On the other hand, if another customer purchases on a Saturday, they have six days until the following Friday arrives. This particular timeframe is governed by Exigo's business rules, demonstrating that depending on the day of purchase, customers may have varying durations to take advantage of the upgrade opportunity.

To add a checkout page to the list of available upgrades, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings > General.

  2. Scroll down to the Upgrade settings section.

  3. Add a new record:

    1. Upgrade URL: Your checkout URL.

    2. Expire URL: A URL to redirect your customer if his order has expired.

  4. In the table, you will see all the records added, if you need to delete a record, use this button.

  5. Editing a URL isn't currently available as an option, but you can choose one of these two methods:

    1. Delete and Re-add: You can delete the existing record and then add it again with your desired changes.

    2. Add the Record Again: If the record already exists, adding it again will prompt the system to update it with your modifications automatically.
