Purpose

This document guides users through the process of how to create a subdomain for Thiio.

Pre Requisites

  • A Domain

  • Access to the DNS settings

  • A subdomain name

Steps

  1. Determine what you would like your subdomain to be, most cases we find users choosing shop or try added to their domain. In the example below we used example as our subdomain.

  2. Follow the instructions provided to create your A name record on your domain registrar's platform. Instructions for common platforms include:

    • GoDaddy: [LINK]

    • Namecheap: [LINK]

    • Squarespace: [LINK]
      *If you have another domain hosting platform, search their help documents for how to create an A name record.

  3. Ensure the A name record meets the following criteria:

    • The type is set to A.

    • The name is set to what ever you would like your subdomain to be.

      • In this case we used example as our desired subdomain

    • The value is set to 34.125.149.88

  4. Save and update your new subdomain.

Note: It may take some time for your new subdomain to become active for use.
