Zapier Integration

Purpose

The purpose of this walkthrough is to help you set up Zapier to create zaps that allows you automatize process connecting two or more apps.

 

Pre Requisites

  • Zapier account.

 

Overview

Zapier is a workflow automation software that helps you to automatize your work across 7000+ app integrations.

Thiio’s app on Zapier has 10 triggers, allowing users to respond to specific events in real-time via webhooks. Additionally, it includes 4 actions that enable users to perform API calls efficiently.

Getting started

  1. Create a Zapier account or login into your existing account: https://zapier.com/

  2. Please request an invitation to Thiio’s admin by sending your zapier email in order to allows you to use Thiio’s app in zapier integrations.

Currently the only way to use the app is through the invitation via email, we’re working to make the app public.

 

  1. You will receive an email like this one, click in Accept invitation.

 

  1. You will be redirected to the next page, click in Accept invite & build a zap.

  2. You are done, you are ready to create zaps in Zapier using Thiio’s app. Your are redirected to the Zaps page, from here click in Create button in the top left corner and then click in Zaps to create your first Zap.

What is a zap?

A Zap is an automated workflow that connects your apps and services together. Each Zap consists of a trigger and one or more actions. When you turn your Zap on, it will run the action steps every time the trigger event occurs.

 

  1. You are now into Zapier editor, from here you can create and edit Zaps.

Triggers

What is a trigger?

A trigger is an event that starts a Zap. For example, if you want to send a text message each time you receive an email, the trigger is “new email in inbox”.

  1. To start click in the trigger section.

     

  2. A pop up will appear, type thiio and then select Thiio.

 

  1. A drawer with the trigger configuration will appear, click in the Event (required) select and then click in the event you want to trigger for your zap. For example New order completed. Click in Continue.

 

 

  1. Now you must sign in to your Thiio’s account so the app can send data to Zapier when an event is triggered, click en Sign in to enter your credentials.

     

  2. In the next page you can type your credentials:

    1. Type your Email.

    2. Type your Password.

    3. Type your Domain, for example: https://mysite.thiio.io

    4. Click in Yes, Continue to Thiio.

  3. Now you are connected to Zapier via a Thiio’s account, click in Continue.


    If you wish to connect an additional account, click in Change and then Connect a new account to connect with another credentials.

  4. For the final step configuring a Trigger click in Test trigger to retrieve a list of orders, these will work as input for the next section of a zap: Action.

  5. A list of records will shown, select one option and the click in Continue with selected record. Optionally you can click in Find new records to retrieve new data and then choose one.

  6. Once you have finished with the trigger configuration now you must configure an Action.

Thiio system notifications

 

Once a Thiio’s app trigger is created a new channels is created as well, to check this go to your Thiio’s CRM.

 

  1. In the menu, click to expand Settings.

     

  2. And then click in System notifications.

     

  3. Click on Channels tab in the top left corner.

     

  4. Now you will see a new channels, in our example a new channel for New Order.




  5. This new channel works exactly as a regular channel and is attached to its event automatically, go to Notifications > Order completed > 1 channel.

     

Actions

After you set up your Zap trigger, the next step is to add an action to your Zap.

 

 

  1. To create an action click in the Action section.


     

  2. Type thiio and then select the Thiio app.


     

  3. A drawer with the action configuration will appear, click in the Event (required) select and then click in the event you want to trigger for your zap. For example Create customer. Click in Continue.


 

  1. Now you must sign in to your Thiio’s account so the app can expect data from Zapier in order to do some action, click en Sign in to enter your credentials.

     

  2. In the next page you can type your credentials:

    1. Type your Email.

    2. Type your Password.

    3. Type your Domain, for example: https://mysite.thiio.io

    4. Click in Yes, Continue to Thiio.

  3. Now you are connected to Zapier via a Thiio’s account, click in Continue.


     

  4. In the action section you must fill the inputs that the Action selected require.



    You can fill the inputs with the data that the trigger returns, all of this data is available when you select an input. Or you can write data directly in the input.


     


    Once you have filled all the required data click in Continue.

 

  1. Finally you can test the Action by clicking in the Test step button, this will execute the action with the selected data, or if you prefer it you can skip the test by clicking in Skip test button.


     

  2. In any case click in the Publish button to finish the Zap.


     

  3. You will see a loading bar indicating the zap is being creating.


     

  4. Finally you receive a message noticing you the Zap has been created and is live. Click in Go to Home to return to the homepage.
