Mailchimp Lead Optin

Purpose:

This document provides step-by-step instructions for integrating your Thiio Opt-in Page with a Mailchimp list. By connecting your Thiio funnel to Mailchimp, you can seamlessly capture leads and grow your email list, allowing you to manage and nurture your subscribers effectively through targeted email campaigns.

Pre Requisites:

• Thiio Account: Access to your Thiio account with a funnel that includes an opt-in page.

• Mailchimp Account: Access to your Mailchimp account.

• Mailchimp Integration: Mailchimp should be connected and integrated within your Thiio account.

   

 Step 1: Create a New List in Mailchimp

1. Log in to Mailchimp.

2. Navigate to Audience Dashboard:

   • Click on Audience in the left-hand menu.

   • Then Select Audience dashboard from the dropdown menu

3. Manage Audience:

   • Click the Manage Audience button in the top-right corner.

   • Select View audiences from the drop down menu

4. Create a New List:

   • Click the Create audience button in the top-right corner.

   •  Mailchimp will try to have you use customer tags to create a list, however we want to click the Create Audience button

5. Fill Out Audience Details:

   • Enter a name for your new list (e.g., "Abandoned Cart List").

   • Enter the From email address

   • Enter the From name

6. Choose your Campaign URL Settings:

   • Click the drop down and choose from the available campaign url formats

     1. I recommend sticking with the default setting

7. Enter your Reminder Message:

   • You can select from previously used reminder messages or you can create a new custom message

8. Confirm your Contact Information:

   • Confirm that all the necessary contact information is correct.

9. (Optional) Form Settings & Notifications

   • Turn on any of the desired settings for double optin or email notifications.

10. Create Audience

    • Click the Create Audience button at the bottom of the page.

11. Copy the List ID:

    • After creating the list, locate the List ID in the URL of the page. It appears at the end of the URL after /list/.

    • Example: If the URL is https://www.Mailchimp.com/list/X5DSer, then your List ID is X5DSer.

Step 2: Locating Mailchimp Audience ID

1. Navigate to Audience Dashboard:

   • Click on Audience in the left-hand menu.

   • Then Select Audience dashboard from the dropdown menu

2. Manage Audience:

   • Click the Manage Audience button in the top-right corner.

   • Select View audiences from the drop down menu

3. Select Desired Audience:

   • Right Click on the Audience Name that you want to add leads to.

   • Copy the links address.

   • Open a new browser tab.

   • Paste the copied address into the browser, DO NOT CLICK ENTER OR GO

   • At the end of the url string will be your audience id copy this.

     1. e.g., If the url was https://us14.admin.mailchimp.com/audience/contacts/?id=500512 my audience id would be 500512

Step 3: Configure Your Optin Page in Thiio

1. Log in to Thiio.

2. Select Your Funnel:

   • Navigate to the desired funnel you want to connect your lead list to.

3. Open the Optin Page Editor:

   • Select your Optin page and open it in the editor.

4. Access the Lead Capture Element:

   • Click on the Lead Capture Element on the page.

   • If you can't find it, click on the email field and use the breadcrumb navigation at the top to select LeadCapture.

5. Enter Marketing Details:

   • In the Lead Capture Element Settings, click on the Form tab.

   • In the Lead List field, enter your Mailchimp List ID (e.g., 500512).

   • In the Lead Tags field, type a custom tag and press Enter.

6. Publish Your Page

   • In the top right corner of the page click the Publish Button
