Custom shipping on Exigo funnels

Purpose:

In the world of e-commerce, precision and flexibility are paramount when it comes to pricing and shipping. When utilizing the Exigo gateway, a powerful tool in online transactions, the product's pricing and shipping costs are automatically calculated by Exigo itself. However, there are instances where businesses require a more personalized approach to shipping that goes beyond the standard calculations. This comprehensive article will guide you through setting up a custom shipping solution within your funnel flow. By the end, you'll have the knowledge and tools to tailor your shipping options to suit your unique business needs, ensuring a seamless and customized shopping experience for your customers.

The product prices cannot be overrides, they will be always calculated using Exigo.

Pre Requisites

  • An Exigo gateway is already set up.

  • The Exigo integration is already set up.

  • An offer that is using only exigo products.

  • A funnel with a Yoli checkout is set up.

  • The funnel is set to use only the Exigo gateway.

 

  • Go to Funnels and Edit on the funnel.

  • Go to Metadata.

  • Add a new metadata record.

  • For the key, use exigo_shipping_override, and put true in the value field.

  • Until now, our funnel has successfully taken control of the shipping calculation within Exigo. As a default setting, Exigo charges zero for shipping on each page. However, if you wish to tailor the shipping costs to suit your specific requirements for each page, the next step involves customizing the shipping prices.

  • Go edit in a checkout or upsell page.

  • Go to Metadata.

  • Add a new metadata record.

  • For the key, use exigo_shipping_override_amount, and put a numeric value.

  • Please replicate this process for any pages where you intend to set a shipping cost other than zero.

  • It's important to note that this shipping customization operates on a per-page basis. To illustrate, if you charge $5 for shipping during the checkout stage and then decide to add $7 for shipping during a subsequent upsell, the combined shipping cost for the entire order will amount to $12.
