Mailgun Integration

Purpose:

The purpose of this document is to assist you in connecting your Mailgun account to your Thiio account. This integration enables you to send emails using Mailgun's reliable SMTP service directly from your Thiio funnels, enhancing your marketing and communication efforts.

 

Pre Requisites:

  • Thiio Account: Access to your Thiio account.

  • Mailgun Account: Access to your Mailgun account with the necessary permissions.

 

Step 1: Log In to Thiio

  1. Access Thiio Dashboard:

    • Open a new browser tab and log in to your Thiio account.

  2. Navigate to Integrations:

    • In the left-hand menu of your Thiio dashboard, click on Integrations.

Step 2: Add Mailgun Integration in Thiio

  1. Add a New Integration:

    • Click the blue + (plus) button located at the bottom-right corner of the Integrations page.

       

  2. Search for Mailgun:

    • In the search bar, type Mailgun.

    • Select Mailgun from the list of available integrations.

  3. Configure the Integration:

    • Click the blue Configure button next to Mailgun.

Step 3: Obtain Required Information from Mailgun

  1. Log In to Mailgun:

    • Open a new browser tab and log in to your Mailgun account.

  2. Locate Your Mailgun Domain:

    • In the left-hand menu, click on Send.

    • In the drop down menu, click on Sending.

    • Then select Domains.



  3. Copy Your Mailgun Domain:

    • Find the domain you want to use for sending emails.

    • Copy the Domain Name (e.g., domai.mailgun.org).

Step 4: Enter Mailgun Details in Thiio

  1. Enter Domain in Thiio:

    • Return to Thiio's Mailgun integration setup.

    • Paste the copied domain into the Domain field.

  2. Enter Host and Port:

    • Host: Enter smtp.mailgun.org.

    • Port: Enter 587.

  3. Obtain Username and Password from Mailgun:

    • In Mailgun, from the left-hand menu, select Send > Sending, then click on Overview.

    • Under the SMTP section, click the Select button.

    • This will display your SMTP Username and Default Password.

      • Username: Typically postmaster@yourdomain.mailgun.org.

      • Password: The default SMTP password provided by Mailgun.

    • Copy this infomration and paste it into the username & password fields inside of Thiio

  4. Enter From and Reply Information:

    • From Name: Enter the name you want your emails to display as the sender (e.g., Your Company Name).

    • From Address: Enter the email address you want to send emails from (e.g., noreply@yourdomain.com).

    • Reply Name: Enter the name that will appear if someone replies to your email.

    • Reply Address: Enter the email address to which replies should be sent.

Step 5: Obtain API Key from Mailgun

  1. Access API Security in Mailgun:

    • Click on the drop down menu located next to your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Mailgun dashboard.

    • Select API Security from the dropdown menu.

  2. Create a New API Key:

    • Click the blue Add New API Key button.

    • Name the API Key (e.g., Thiio).

    • Click the Create API Key button.

  3. Copy the API Key:

    • After creating, copy the Secret API Key.

  4. Paste API Key in Thiio:

    • Return to Thiio and paste the copied API key into the Secret Key field.

Step 6: Save the Integration

  1. Save the Integration:

    • Click the green Save button located in the top-right corner of the Thiio integration setup page.
